While waiting for a puppy to become available my family and I decided to tour the SEGD facility, and it was amazing . There was an opportunity for me to walk blind folded with a working guide dog. At first you see nothing and become quickly disoriented and when the dog begins to move it is hard to do anything more than shuffle your feet. Here are some pictures of my experience. The facility has a puppy cam and I wonder which puppy will be ours to raise .

Let Me Catch You Up
I have decided on what I really want to do for my high school CAS service project. I am starting a year earlier then required, so this year is for me. Let me catch you up on what has happened so far. I filled out an application so I would be able to raise and start training a puppy to become a guide dog. The application was sent to Southeastern Guide Dogs and they approved me. Later, I met with the area coordinator so she could do a home visit and go over the guidelines of being a puppy raiser and the expectations that are expected to be met.
