Training with Jenn from SEGD

This was a great event! It was nice to have a trainer come from Southeastern Guide Dogs and instruct us on the new training techniques. These new techniques focus on greeting people and dogs with your puppy in his/her coat. I felt that this greatly helped me and I will continue to work on these skills with Newman in future outings.

Newman at the eye doctor (No, Newman is not getting glasses)

Today I had to pick up my new glasses. He did a very good job at his down under command and greeting others in public. Overall, Newman is continuing his daily training and is regularly doing outings. 

Shirley's Medical update

Great News! My AC passed on information about Shirley and found out that Shirley has excellent hips normal elbows  and still a breeder candidate.

My parents and I were shocked when we saw a picture of Shirley on the Southeastern Guide Dogs Twitter page and one of our group members also spotted it and emailed it to us. Thanks Bonnie.  It was great to see Shirley. She looks good!    Thank you SEGD for posting this on twitter!
